ZAGG ZAGGfolio for Apple iPad 2

Posted by on Dec 7, 2011 in iPad Accessories, iPad Keyboards | 0 comments

In my quest to get my iPad 2 to function as a laptop I tested the ZaGGfolio iPad 2 Case with Bluetooth Keyboard and I can certainly say that the experience was certainly a lot better than typing onscreen. The keyboard that Zagg provides is quite comfortable and effective for error free typing. It imitates a full sized keyboard and although I have read complains about it being too compact I certainly have not had any issues with the size. The keyboard connects via Bluetooth and it takes all of 5 seconds to set up. The case is perfectly sized...

Logitech Tablet Keyboard for iPad – Keyboard-and-Stand Combo

Posted by on Dec 6, 2011 in iPad Accessories, iPad Keyboards | 0 comments

The iPad 2 is a good laptop replacement especially if you travel a lot like I do. The one thing missing obviously is a good keyboard since the touch screen keyboard is not the best and is prone to mistakes. A good solution for a keyboard for the iPad is the one offered by Logitech. The real computer keyboard feeling that you get on almost full sized keys makes efficiency a breeze. The included case serves a dual purpose of protecting the keyboard when not in use and as a stand for the iPad.  You can be sure that the cases will properly...

iPad: Bringing Comics To Life Again

Posted by on Dec 5, 2011 in iPad, iPad App | 0 comments

During my childhood and teenage years comics were a big thing for me and if the truth were to be told it is still a big thing today. Just as my wife who constantly complains about the boxes of old comics in the garage. Even though comic book publishers have been trying to enter the digital market for some time the bloated technology options made it almost impossible. Today, with the iPad and other tablet devices comic fans like me can once again relive the joy of reading comics. I know I’m not alone because the sales of iPad apps for comic...

Pulse: The Official News App of Amazon’s Kindle Fire

Posted by on Dec 4, 2011 in iPad App, Kindle Fire | 0 comments

Pulse is the news aggregation app most used on the iPad looks like it’s the official app for the Kindle Fire. If you own or plan to purchase the Kindle Fire you won’t need to download the app from a marketplace since it comes preloaded on the Kindle. This is all available due to a deal that Amazon made with Pulse. I am in wholehearted agreement with Amazon’s bold move because right out of the box you will have access to the Pulse app via the logo on the main screen. Pulse was launched by Stanford grads Ankit Gupta and Akshay Kothari last...

Posted by on Dec 2, 2011 in Free iPad Apps, iPad App | 0 comments

Developers in the past have created apps which will blur the screen on your iPad or Android tablet to keep your content private. Although they work to some extent they’ve had their shortcomings. Today there’s an app that takes privacy to another level. With this app no one will be able to read what you’re writing including you! Thanks to the work of Private Writer for iPad your words will be completely invisible when you’re writing. Transfer All Your iPad Files To Your Computer

Posted by on Jun 3, 2010 in ipad transfer | 0 comments

With all the books I have downloaded to my iPad I searched for a way to transfer them to my pc so that I can free up some space to facilitate more downloads to my iPad. Lucky for me I found a great tool that helps me transfer files not only to pc from my iPad but the other way around too. Another neat feature about this software (although I have not had time to test it) is that it enables you to convert DVD, any video and audio file to iPad supported files, and you can load output files to your iPad directly. The publisher promises that it...

Free Children’s Books For The iPad

Posted by on Jun 3, 2010 in Free ebooks for ipad, iPad, iPad Downloads | 0 comments

One of the joys of owning an ipad so far has been reading, not only for myself but for my three year old son. He just loves looking at the images on the ipad and the almost realistic appearance of turning each page like you would for a book. So far I have downloaded a lot of children’s books and comics, I don’t think we will ever be able to go through all the titles. At least we will never get bored If you need a free service for getting all sorts of FREE children’s books, then I have good news for you. ePub Bud, a...

Apple iBook Application

Posted by on May 27, 2010 in iPad, iPad Downloads | 1 comment

I have seen a few iPad “newbies” asking questions about the iBook application. To clear things up, the app is not included with the iPad but can be downloaded for free from the iTunes store and to get you started a Winnie the Pooh book is included. How To Use The iBook App? Once downloaded you will use the app in two ways.  There are two icons, the one on the right will give you access to your personal library as you develop it. Currently, my selections can almost rival a small Barnes and Noble due to all my downloads from...
